Marian on the way she is raising Zia to be independent
Marian Rivera has her own way of raising her first born Maria Letizia, especially now that Zia is a toddler. She will turn 4 years old next month.
“When it comes to Zia, my rules is to let her do and explore things. I don’t stop her.”
“You can relate to this fellow mommies, the more you forbid them to do something the more they want to do it.” She said.
“Like when Zia wants to climb the stairs. I told her, go ahead and climb but when you fell you will have bruises and bumps. She’ll get scared and she’ll stop climbing.”
“The more you forbid them the more they get curious. So i just let her. She’s still young if she get bruises it will heal. It’s fine.
Marian said by not forbidding Zia to do what she wants and explore, Zia is becoming independent.
Marian shared a story during their disneyland vacation when Zia fell down.
“We went to Disneyland and she kept running she fell down. she just said, “It’s okay, i’m brave.”
“So let’s just let them be kids while they are. So why stop them?”.
