Dingdong Dantes’ reaction about their edited family photo aired in “Ang Probinsyano”

Dingdong Dantes reacts on their edited photo aired on ABS-CBN show.

Fan of Dantes family calls out Kapamilya show “Ang Probinsyano” for using DongYanZia’s photos.
A tweet from an account dedicated to Zia Dantes – the daughter of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes – caused a stir upon expressing displeasure over “Ang Probinsyano’s (AP)” use of Zia’s actual face/photo and edited photos of Dong and Yan aired in November 2017 and August 8, 2018.

The owner of the said account asked if the use of the edited photos was authorized by the Dantes family.

To substantiate the fan’s claim that something was amiss, a clip showing scenes from AP with the edited photos was presented, side by side with the original photos of the Dantes family.

“Were the photos of Dingdong, Marian and Zia used & edited without permission? Dear Ang Probinsyano, strike two na po kayo ah.,” posted by Zia’s fan account on twitter.

According to the post, the photo editing didn’t happen once but twice. The first incident happened last November 2017 and the second time was in the ug 8, 2018 episode of the Kapamilya show.

The photo used for the November 2017 episode was the baptismal photo Zia with parents Dingdong and Marian and Father Tito Caluag. Dingdong and Marian’s faces were changed to Joko Diaz and Mickey Ferriols. Zia’s face was not altered. She was referred in the show as “Bea”, daughter of the character played by Joko Diaz.

The photo used for th August 8, 2018 was the wedding photo of the Dantes couple (who got married on December 30, 2014 and tagged as the wedding of the year). The faces of DongYan were changed to Alice Dixson and Edu Manzano.

The alleged photo editing was also posted on Fashion Pulis.

Some comments from the blog site were:

“may weird obsession yun props team sa dongyan hahahah”

“kudos sa fan for being observant ah. Di ko kinaya! Anyways, di ba pwedeng magphotoshoot na lang yung mga actors para sa props?”

This just in: Dingdong already commented on the post saying, “Please send me this clip. Thank you for pointing this out. I will take it from here.”

Back to the query, “Were the photos of Dingdong, Marian and Zia used & edited without permission?” Based on Dingdong response, he was unaware of AP’s usage of his family’s photos. .. the answer is — Dingdong and Marian did not give permission for using their family’s photos.
