Shyr Valdez is in awe of the kindness of the star of Super Ma’am and Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera. She’s both so sad and happy at the end of their TV series Super Ma’am.
Shyr said, “There’s a saying … in every beginning, is an ending. In as much as we’d like for the show to continue, we need to end already and move to the next chapters of our careers, and look forward to the next show GMA has in store for all of us.
“It is a bitter sweet goodbye for the cast because the cast of Super Ma’am became really close and we are matter of fact having separation anxiety attacks as far back as a month ago. Our last airing will be January 26, 2018, so please do not miss it. ”
Shyr, who plays here as a principal, said, “Masaya ako because nakabuo kami ng family sa Super Ma’am, malungkot naman because mami-miss namin ang isa’t isa. Pero may plan naman kami na every month ay may bonding kami. As a matter of fact, nakaayos na sched namin lahat nang get together namin. Pati ang viber group namin, hindi namin aalisin because ‘yun ang main chat room namin where we can always get in touch with one another.”
[I’m happy because we have a family in Super Ma’am, sad because we miss each other. But we have plans every month to bond with each other. As a matter of fact, we were scheduling all our get together. Even our viber group, we will not remove it because that’s our main chat room where we can always get in touch with one another. ]
Shyr also expressed her impression of Marian and how she is as a true and good friend. “The first time nakasama ko si Yanyan sa Carmela, ang impression ko agad, iba siya sa mga naririnig ko. But one thing is for sure, straight forward siyang tao at gusto ko ‘yun dahil totoong pagkatao ang ipinapakita niya.
“As the show Carmela progressed, I saw how fond of children si Yanyan (Marian). Then sabi ko sa sarili ko, masuwerte ang magiging anak ni Yanyan. Mukhang magiging mabuting nanay. At at that time, ‘di pa sila kasal ni Dong (Dingdong).
“Dito sa Super Ma’am, dito na kami tuluyan naging magkaibigan ni Yanyan. At napakasarap niyang kasama because alaga niya kami lahat. Maasikaso at ‘di mo mararamdaman na sobrang sikat ang tao na kaharap mo because wala sa utak niya na sikat siya. Masyado siyang kalog at kahit ano kinakain.
[The first time I met Yanyan was in Carmela, my impression then, she was different from what I heard. But one thing is for sure, she’s straight forward and I like that because he’s a real person. As the show Carmela progressed, I saw how fond of children Yanyan (Marian) is. Then I said to myself, YanYan’s future child will be lucky. She looks like a good mother. At that time, she just married Dong (Dingdong). Here in Super Ma’am, here we’ve been friends. And she was wonderful because she was very caring.
You will not feel that the person is too popular because it is not in her head that she is famous. She’s funny, and eats anything. The children in the set likes to work with her so much and she is always with the children. If you just see him the way we do, you can understand why we cannot believe in the bashing or bad news about her.
Anyway, we did not see the negative things about her. Just as I can say, I love Yanyan, not because she’s so famous, I love her as a friend because she’s a true friend.]
Shyr is present at the opening of the 12th branch of BeauteLAB by BeauteDerm and Potato King next to the Fariñas Trans Terminal in Lacson Avenue, Manila, attended by fellow BeauteDerm ambassadors Carlo Aquino, Matt Evans, and of course, the industrious CEO / its owner, Ms. Rei Tan for the Meet and Greet of the event.
