Marian Promises To Ingrain Pinoy Love To Zia

Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera is a proud Filipina who is oozing with pride for her heritage. She vows to instill and share this love for Filipino culture to her daughter Zia.

During the launch of Pinoy-themed brand Kultura in SM Makati, Marian, the first and only ambassador of the brand, said that there is every reason to be proud of Filipino culture and local products.

“Nakaka-proud maging Pinoy. Pag nakikita mo ‘yung laman sa loob ng Kultura, masasabi mo na walang dahilan para hindi suportahan ang gawang Pilipino,” Marian said.

[I am proud to be Pinoy. When you see the items inside Kultura, you can say that there is no reason not to support Filipino-made products.]

She said she has already started dressing Zia in Philippines-themed shirts.

“Pati anak ko pinagsuot ko ng shirt ng Philippines para lang to show everybody na ang ganda ng gawang Pinoy,” she said.

[Even my daughter, always wears Philippines shirt to show everybody how beautiful locally made products are.]
Asked if Marian will allow Zia to be a brand endorser, the actress answered, “Maliit pa eh.” [She’s still small]
“Pero pinagsusuot ko na siya ng mga t-shirt na Philippines. Minsan nagre-request ako sa designer na baka pwedeng may twinning ako na gawa nila,” she added.

[But sometimes I let her wear PH shirts. Sometimes I request the designer to make one for her too so we can do twinning.]

However, Marian has already noticed that Zia, who will soon turn two, has star potential.

“Mas babae ang anak ko sa akin, medyo maarte talaga siya. Saka di mo na siya kailangan turuan umarte sa camera, parang inborn na siyang ganun. Minsan ako na yung, ‘Wow anak ha, tinalo mo ako’,” she said.

[My daughter is even more lady-like. She’s really maarte. And you don’t have to teach her how to act in front of a camera. It’s inborn to her. Sometimes, I get surprised and tell her, “Wow. You’re even better than me.]

She said Zia might have picked it up during Marian’s tapings, which she is sometimes brought to.
