Rumors spread around social media that Seven Sundays star Cristine Reyes snubbed Marian Rivera during the premiere of Star Cinema’s “Seven Sundays.”
But Cristine Reyes, who is one of the stars of the hit family drama, said that there’s no truth to these malicious murmurs. It was a false spread to pit her against Marian as well as their fans against each other.
In an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday, she said: “Hindi iyan totoo. Paano ko siya mai-isnub eh sobrang ganda niya?”
“Actually, nagusap pa kami so I really don’t know kung saan nanggaling iyong issue,” she added.
[That’s not true. How can I ignore her? She’s so pretty? Actually we even talked so I don’t really know where the issue started.]
Rivera was at the premiere in support of her husband, Dingdong Dantes, one of Reyes’ co-stars. Like Reyes, she also denied the rumors. Marian said that the video did not capture everything. She insisted that Cristine and her are in really good terms.
This is Dingdong Dantes’ fifth movie with Star Cinema despite being a Kapuso actor.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, “Seven Sundays” has already made more than P150 million in ticket sales in the local box office since debuting less than two weeks ago.
Reyes was on the late night talk show to promote another film of hers, the horror flick, “Spirit of the Glass 2: The Haunted,” scheduled for a timely November 1 premiere.
