In an interview during the launch of her new comeback series, Kapuso superstar Marian Rivera she was asked how she handles pressure.
This project is particularly challenging because she plays a nerdy teacher who doubles as a Tamawo slayer (mythical winged creatures that abducts children). She also does a lot of action scenes in this movie.
How does she manage the pressure of it all?
[There’s pressure in everyting. But if you get used to it, you will just think that it comes with work. And me, my priority is to fulfill my character that I have trained hard for. I am happy that GMA gave me the opportunity to work with brilliant actors, even the ones that I am working with for the first time. My new director LA Madridejos is also amazing. He gave me the chance to choose. Kim Domingo was one of those I chose. GMA chose the leading man but I also requested for Jerald Napoles. Aside from being together in Triple A, I already know him and am comfortable with him because of our work on Sunday PinaSaya. I am also happy that they gave me a new leading man, Matthias Rhoads.]
Marian is also okay with her husband Dingdong Dantes being even busier with the new book of Alyas: Robin Hood, his show on GMA and a new movie “Seven Sundays” with Star Cinema.
She shared that times like this, when Dingdong has taping, Zia is with her lola. She would just pickup Zia after the event. But usually, if the work is light such as photoshoots etc, she tries her best to bring Zia along. Marian explained that Zia is quiet and behaved. She usually just sits around the corner.
Marian doesn’t want to be apart from her daughter.
The actress also promised GMA that any plans of having another baby is postponed until she finishes all her projects. She is stern on fulfilling all her commitments with GMA first before giving Zia a baby brother.
