1. Hayden Kho and Vicki Belo
Wedding date: September 3, 2017
The most expensive wedding of this year, Hayden Kho and Vicki Belo’s Paris wedding was the talk of the town. They flew their guests to Paris and even sponsored a dinner cruise on River Seine. They had world class caterers; their wedding venue was magical, etc etc. The wedding costed a whopping total of P80 million!
2. Yilmaz Bektas and Ruffa Gutierrez
Wedding date: March 25, 2003
Ylmaz and Ruffa got married at the NBC Tent, which was filled with 800 guests, including: Former President Fidel V. Ramos, Dolphy, Fernando Poe Jr., Lily Monteverde, and German Moreno. They had an incredible jewel-studded cake, a dress with a six-meter train, 66 varieties of flowers, and a telecast on GMA Network. The two later got a divorce for reports of serious domestic abuse.
3. Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera

The Royal Wedding of 2014, the “Primetime King and Queen” got hitched at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Quezon City, with a massive LCD screen set up outside the venue for fans outside. They had incredibly high-profiled guests which included then-President Benigno Aquino III, Vilma Santos, Kris Aquino, and Ben Chan. Marian’s also wore a P2 million-lace gown by Michael Cinco. The reception was held at the Mall of Asia Arena, which also housed their 12-foot wedding cake and a special short film by director Joyce Bernal.
4. Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres
Wedding date: April 28, 1998
The two met and fell in love on the set of their iconic Lux commercial. They got married at St. Paul Church in Lucy’s hometown of Ormoc, Leyte. They gave away shirts for fans that said “I was there at the Richard-Lucy wedding, Ormoc City, April 28, 1998.” As for guests’ giveaways, Lucy prepared a 16-song mixtape comprising handpicked tracks that were special to their relationship. The couple reportedly had three receptions: One for the workers of the Torres family’s hacienda, a motorcade and party for 1,000 guests at the Ormoc Super Dome for local residents and fans, and a simultaneous reception for the actual wedding guests.
5. Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales

The Muchlach’s wedding was a unique one. Their celebrations began with a three-day golf tournament at Camp John Hay in Baguio City with fellow showbiz personalities. Their actual ceremony at the St. Joseph the Worker Parish included an impressive list of guests such as Fernando Poe Jr., Sen. Loren Legarda, Vilma Santos, Lily Monteverde, Charo Santos-Concio, and ABS-CBN chairman Gabby Lopez. It was also televised. Charlene walked down the aisle in an off-shoulder number with a four-meter train. They also served a seven-layer wedding cake that was truly a scene-stealing centerpiece, created by the Charlene’s mother over the span of seven months.

Despite only being 19 years old at that time, Gabby and Sharon sealed their reel to real romance with church vows. Their wedding was held at Manila Cathedral and the Philippine Plaza. The event was on high security due to the couple’s popularity then and the presence of then-President Ferdinand Marcos as principal sponsor.
7. Jules Ledesma and Assunta De Rossi

The May-December love affair of Jules and Assunta was much publicized then. Assunta’s family publicly opposed the then-19-year-old actress’ live-in relationship with the 41-year-old congressman from Negros Occidental. The couple actually married twice, first was a grand civil ceremony that was covered by ABS-CBN, and two years later, at an actual ceremony at Sanctuario de San Antonio. Their second wedding served as a reunion for the bride and her estranged family and the guests were less showbiz and more high-society and political personalities. The reception was held at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La, which housed 700 guests.
8. Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto
Wedding date: March 26, 2007
Their big wedding was rumored to have cost around P25 million. It was held in Tagaytay featuring a gazebo overlooking Tagaytay. They also received a serenade of an original wedding song by Gary Valencianoand Kuh Ledesma. And why not add in a shower of rose petals from a hovering helicopter? The star-studded guest list was a marriage of two rival stations, from ABS-CBN Chairman Gabby Lopez to GMA Network COO Gilberto Duavit.
