Marian Rivera excited to finish projects for baby number 2

Kapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera is back on our TV screens as Teacher Minerva Henerala on Super Ma’am.

Super Ma’am is Marian’s comeback show after getting pregnant and giving birth to baby Maria Letizia Dantes or Zia. This is a fantasy action-comedy series all wrapped in one.

In the show, she plays an odd teacher that has a superhero alter-ego to save mankind from Tamawo, children-sucking mythical creatures.

Marian and her husband Dingdong Dantes seem to be very keen about having their baby number 2. They have said in multiple interviews that they want a brother for Zia once all their projects are done.

But Marian promises that she will first fulfill all the tasks given to her before getting ready for baby number two.

“Sinabi ko naman sa GMA na tatapusin ko ito. Nahihiya din naman ako sa GMA after ‘The Rich Man’s Daughter’ eh buntis ako noon. Ngayon, hindi pwede kasi kailangan ibalik ko sa GMA yung tiwala na binigay nila sa akin,” she said.

The actress also said that she can’t get pregnant just yet because her role on Super Ma’am requires a lot of stunts and action scenes. She wants to do them as best as she could.

Marian is back on primetime after almost two years of taking a break to become a fulltime mom to Zia.

She has said in an interview that she accepted the role of Miss Minerva Henerala, a weird but kind-hearted teacher who doubles as a Tamawo slayer, because being a teacher is close to her heart.

“Maraming prinesent sa akin ang GMA pero ito talaga yung napusuan ko. Wholesome kasi siya and pangarap ko maging teacher, at the same time, andoon yung fight scenes na hinahanap ko.”

Marian also said she is grateful to her home network because of the opportunity to work with quality actors as co-stars in the series.

She said there’s always pressure when she launches a new soap, but she eventually get the hang of things especially when surrounded with supportive cast. “Lahat naman ng trabaho ay may pressure pero wala na ako doon, ang gusto ko na lang ay gawin ko ng maayos yung trabaho, especially meron akong mga bagong kaibigan. Itong cast na ito parang pamilya ko na. Looking forward ako lagi na pumunta sa trabaho,” she shared.
